Libby Cornish started designing gluten free recipes in 2000 when a friend’s daughter was diagnosed with allergies to wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts & soy.
As there was no appropriate party food on the market at that time Libby focussed on yummy gluten free baked products.
In 2004, Libby founded Decadent Alternatives Pty Ltd and initially manufactured delicious hand made gourmet gluten free biscuits, both sweet & savoury, for the Australian & export markets. Later Decadent Alternatives Pty Ltd branched out into product development for other food manufacturers & giving gluten free cooking classes.
Although Decadent Alternatives Pty Ltd ceased manufacturing in 2008 Libby continued to design gluten free products.
One of these products, Real Bread Mix, is currently manufactured under license by Springhill Farm. The Real Bread Mix is a versatile flour blend that can be used in gluten free baking.
Unfortunately creating recipes that use the Real Bread Mix was put on hold when Libby was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. In remission since 2013 Libby has been focussing on creating fabulous gluten free recipes & sharing her knowledge of gluten free baking through the Decadent Alternatives Pty Ltd website.
