Chocolate Cake & Caramel Sauce

{ SOFT, DELICIOUS MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE SURE TO PLEASE THE TASTE BUDS. }

{ INGREDIENTS }

1/2 cup coconut flour

1/2 cup cacao powder

1 tsp bicarb soda

6 eggs

1/4 cup coconut oil

1 cup maple syrup

1 cup dried dates

3/4 cup coconut milk

{ METHOD }

Combine coconut flour, cacao powder, bicarb soda, eggs, coconut oil and maple syrup in a bowl and mix well. Pour mixture (it is quite runny) into a cake tin. Bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the caramel sauce by combining the dates and coconut milk at high speed in your blender. Once the cake is cool, top with the caramel sauce and serve.

Cook time: 40 MINUTES
Total time: 55 MINUTES
