Street Food Feast at Melbourne’s Gluten Free Expo
Fans of ‘Street Food’ will be in for a feast at the Coeliac Victoria and Tasmania Gluten Free Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf the 8th and 9th of October.
For the first time, the Expo will feature an all gluten free ‘Street Food’ experience with popular food trucks Happy Camper Pizza and Greek Street Food, along with the Ardor Food Company pop-up Pasta Bar. Visitors to the Expo can enjoy handmade gluten free pasta, pizza and souvlaki and sample a range of delicious foods from more than 100 gluten free exhibitors.
Also new to the Expo, the team from Golf Victoria will host a junior driving range and you’ll be bowled over by the Melbourne Stars cricket activity in the kids zone.
Coeliac Victoria state manager Cathy Di Bella said the Expo welcomes 40 first time exhibitors along with our regulars such as long term supporters Simply Wize and Orgran.
“If you haven’t been to the Expo for a few years, you’ll find a lot has changed. Along with our new attractions, there is more variety with a number of exhibitors offering products that are not just gluten free, but low sugar, low fat and cater to other dietary requirements as well.
“The Expo offers a great opportunity to discover, taste and buy everything that’s new in gluten free foods as well as pick up a bargain with the many show specials”.
There will be cooking demonstrations on the Coles stage and the Helga’s/Country Life conference stage where visitors to the Expo can find out what’s new, with expert dietitians and medical practitioners sharing the latest developments in diet, coeliac disease management and research.
More than 8,000 people are expected to attend Melbourne’s largest totally gluten free expo over the two days.
