ESPRESSO MARTINI

{ CREATED IN LONDON’S SOHO BY BARTENDER DICK BRADSELL, THE ESPRESSO MARTINI MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE COCKTAIL. WHEN MADE CORRECTLY, IT’S SMOOTH AND INDULGENT WITH A CREAMY FROTH ON TOP, FEATURING JUST A TOUCH OF SWEETNESS. THE CAFFEINE KICKER MAKES IT EASIER TO HAVE TWO, OR POSSIBLY FOUR }

{ INGREDIENTS }

2 shots vodka

1 shot coffee liqueur

1 shot espresso

Ice

Coffee beans, for garnish

{ METHOD }

Fill a martini glass with ice to chill it.

Pour the vodka, liqueur, and espresso into a cocktail shaker with fresh ice, and shake aggressively.  Remove the ice from the martini glass, and strain the cocktail into the chilled glass. Garnish with a few coffee beans and enjoy!

Some people choose to add a sugar rim, dress it up with chocolate sauce, or add simple syrup to sweeten the cocktail. Personally, I’m an Espresso Martini purist who sticks to the original formula, but I encourage you to experiment. The only non-negotiable is using a good-quality espresso shot: that’s absolutely necessary here.

Berry Smoothie With Lemon Myrtle

{ AS A MUM, I AM OFTEN TRYING TO FIND CREATIVE WAYS TO GIVE MY KIDS THEIR VEGETABLES, SUPPLEMENTS AND OF COURSE #THEPLUMPOWER. SMOOTHIES ARE A REGULAR FAVOURITE IN OUR HOUSEHOLD WHERE INGREDIENTS ARE OFTEN MIXED AND MATCHED, DEPENDING UPON WHAT IS IN THE FREEZER. BUT DID YOU KNOW THAT LEMON MYRTLE CAN ALSO BE ENJOYED IN SMOOTHIES? }
